This online login solution allows the students and employees of the Southern University System to access SUS banner, moodle, email account, and secured wireless network all in one place. It also allows you to use your SUID as an alternate email address. Though, you always continue to access your current campus email account.
Southern University System is a historically black university in the United System. With a diverse enrollment of more than 12000 students, the university offers various graduate, undergraduate, and professional degrees. Its campuses are located in Louisiana’s capital city Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Shreveport. SUS also includes a law school and an agricultural and research center.
How to Log In Southern University System Online Account:
Southern University System SSO provides the authentication service. To take benefits of this service you must have a Southern Universal ID or SUID, both login and password. The university provides it all the students, faculty, and staff in their personal email addresses when they join or get admission to the institution.
Your Universal ID comes in the form of ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’. If there is already someone with the same first and last name in the system, a two-digit number i.e. 01, 02, etc. will be placed after your last name. Though in some cases, this default setting may not be applicable.
So, to log in to your Southern University System Online Account, keep your SUID associated with your email@example.com email address handy. Then, you can take the following steps listed below.
- Go to the SUS Account Login Portal at sucsprodssb.sus.edu/ssomanager/c/SSB
- Enter your SUID Username and Password in their respective fields in the middle of the page.
Click the “Sign In” button to enter your Southern University System Online Account.
Once logged in to the system, it will serve as your campus identity and gives you access to the content based on your role to SUS. Besides, through this online access, you can move between various systems without any additional authentication.
How to Recover Southern University System Online Account Login Info:
The SUID usernames of the registered students, faculty, and staff of SUS generate automatically. It cannot be created or changed based on any request or preferences. It is set up at the start of the user’s formal relationship with the Southern University System remains unchanged except for some certain cases.
Though you can reset or change your Southern University System Online Account SUID password if required. For that, you will need to
- Click the “Reset/Change your password” link under the ‘Password Management’ at the bottom of the login portal, sucsprodssb.sus.edu/ssomanager/c/SSB
- Or, directly visit the password self-service page at pwm.sus.edu
- Enter your SUS Login Username and Current Password in their fields.
- Click the “Login” button to change the password.
- If you do not know your current password, click the “Forgotten Password” link found at the bottom left corner of the box.
- Submit your SUS Email Address and Last Name in their respective fields.
- Click the “Search” button to find your username.
The new users, who are logging in their SUS account for the first-time, can look up their login credentials. To do so, click the “Lookup Login” link at the Password Self-service page, pwm.sus.edu. And submit your S, 9, N, or U Number and Last Name.
After you obtain your SUS Online Account Access again, you will have access to different systems used on all of the Southern University System campuses. Like you can access SUS campus computers, wireless, moodle, email, dynamic forms, banner 9, and others.
To change the name or fix misspelling any of personal information, you have to contact the campus’ registrar’s office or HR.
